Privacy Policy

Data we may process

Account and contact data; data about requests, bookings and interactions with partners; itineraries and travel preferences; Community content; Travel Buddy preferences; technical and security data; support, privacy or reporting requests. If you allow Qemuro analytics, we process random pseudonymised identifiers, the visited page without sensitive parameters, UTM campaign, referring domain, device category, language and usage events. We do not store raw IP addresses in the analytics database. Qemuro Live normally uses the destination selected by the user. Device geolocation is only requested after an explicit action and browser or operating-system permission.

Purposes and legal bases

We use data to create and manage accounts; provide My Trips, Marketplace, Concierge, Community and Safety; provide requested weather and contextual Qemuro Live information for a destination; forward requests to selected partners; prevent abuse; protect the platform; meet legal obligations; and manage complaints. Optional analytics measure visits, social-campaign performance and aggregated Qemuro funnel steps and rely on consent. Processing needed to provide a requested service relies on contract performance or pre-contractual measures; statutory duties rely on their applicable legal basis; security and abuse prevention may rely on legitimate interests; and marketing, profiling and non-essential tracking require consent where applicable.

Recipients and providers

Data may be disclosed to Qemuro partners only as needed to manage a request or booking, and to hosting, database, email, security, support and other technical processors. For a Qemuro Live request, selected providers may receive only the technical data and destination coordinates needed to return the information; where possible, Qemuro uses its own technical intermediary so the provider does not associate the user’s IP address with the requested coordinates. Initial planned sources are MET Norway for weather, NASA EONET and USGS for natural events, and individual authorities or operators for transport and traffic only in declared covered areas. Main accounts and services are configured under Qemuro control; any new providers will be assessed and documented.

Transfers outside the EEA

If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, Qemuro uses a GDPR transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or applicable contractual safeguards, and minimises the data transferred.

Retention

Data is kept for as long as needed for its purpose: sessions for the configured technical duration; accounts until deletion or prolonged inactivity, subject to legal duties; requests and bookings for management and administrative obligations; Community content while published or until removed; and security logs for periods proportionate to abuse prevention. Coordinates obtained through geolocation for Qemuro Live are used temporarily for the individual request and are not saved in the profile, database, analytics or application logs; provider responses may be cached briefly by destination without traveller identifiers. Pseudonymised analytics events are automatically deleted after 395 days under the current configuration. Data subject to accounting or legal obligations is retained for applicable statutory periods.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, objection and withdrawal of consent without affecting processing already carried out. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority. Use the form at the bottom of this page and select “Privacy request”.

Sensitive data and documents

Do not enter health data, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive categories in the Community or Marketplace. Safety/Evidence functions may handle travel documents: upload only what is genuinely necessary and limit sharing to relevant recipients.

Health and accessibility needs

Requests concerning health, disability or accessibility may reveal special-category data. Qemuro collects them only at the user’s initiative, under separate explicit consent, to forward the minimum necessary information to selected professionals. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting prior lawful processing.

Do not enter diagnoses, reports, health documents, identification numbers or emergency details. State only the practical need the professional must verify. In an emergency, contact the competent local services immediately.

Children

Travel Buddy and traveller-meeting functions are not intended for children without appropriate parental supervision and specific safety measures. Qemuro may restrict or suspend profiles that pose risks to children or vulnerable users.

Cookie Policy

Qemuro currently uses technical cookies required for authentication, security and session continuity. These may include qemuro_session for the Marketplace/Partner area and qsession for My Trips/Safety. These tools are necessary for the requested service and are not used for behavioural advertising.

Qemuro analytics are first-party, optional and disabled by default. They start only after “Accept analytics” or activation in preferences. They are not used for behavioural advertising, load no third-party trackers and do not analyse protected operational areas or non-indexed dashboards. Marketing and profiling remain inactive.

The preference shown in the Cookie & Privacy Center is stored locally on the device to avoid repeated prompts. You can reopen the panel at any time using the “Cookie” button, withdraw permission and delete local analytics identifiers. Qemuro also respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals supported by the browser.

Terms of Use

Qemuro is a TravelTech platform bringing together Marketplace, Concierge, Community, My Trips, Journey Quest and Travel Safety tools. Some features may be at MVP or beta stage and are identified transparently.

Account

Users must provide accurate data, keep credentials confidential and report unauthorised access. Qemuro may suspend accounts used for fraud, harassment, illegal content or serious breaches of these terms.

Requests and bookings

An availability request or Concierge lead does not automatically create a binding booking. Confirmation, final price, cancellation terms and service delivery depend on the specific partner offer and applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights always remain unaffected.

Content and intellectual property

The Qemuro brand, interface, custom code and materials remain protected by their respective rights. Users retain rights to content they publish and grant Qemuro a limited licence to host and display it for service operation while it remains published.

Availability and changes

Qemuro may update functions for security, improvement or compliance. Material updates to the terms will be communicated appropriately. No clause limits rights that the law mandatorily grants to consumers or data subjects.

Qemuro Journal: editorial policy

Editorial status: Qemuro Journal is an informational, non-periodical editorial publication curated by the project owner; any AI assistance is disclosed. It is not a registered news publication. Scheduled checks concern updates to existing content and do not constitute a schedule of new editorial releases.

Content identity: the Journal carries official Qemuro editorial content and is separate from user content in Community, current data in Qemuro Live, and professional listings or offers in Marketplace.

Sources and updates: every article identifies the editorial author, publication date, last check, next review, and main sources. Openings, access, weather, sea conditions, connections, law, and other changing information must point to the responsible body and are not presented as Qemuro guarantees.

AI assistance: when AI tools assist research, structure, translation, or drafting, the article says so. Sensitive or public-interest content is not autonomously published by an AI system: sources, boundaries, and the final decision require proportionate human review.

Current commercial boundary: the Journal carries no sponsorships, advertising, paid placement, or commission-bearing links and does not sell, book, or confirm services. Any future paid content first requires tax and legal review, a contract, editorial separation, and an immediately recognisable label.

Privacy and corrections: the Journal adds no comments, accounts, forms, newsletter, geolocation, or dedicated trackers. Pages may use the platform’s optional first-party analytics, disabled by default and started only after consent, as described in the Cookie Policy. Community Guidelines

The Community is for voluntarily sharing travel experiences and meeting people. Illegal content, threats, harassment, hate, impersonation, unauthorised disclosure of personal data, scams, spam, unlawful sexual material, child exploitation, prohibited goods or services and clearly dangerous instructions are forbidden.

Travel Buddy is opt-in: profiles must not publish precise addresses, documents, financial data or sensitive information. Meetings between users take place under their personal responsibility; use public places and do not share unnecessary information.

Qemuro may limit visibility, remove content or suspend accounts for violations using proportionate criteria. Reports of content believed to be illegal can be sent through the “Report” form with the URL/content, reason and contact details.

Marketplace & Partner Terms

Partners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, availability, prices, authorisations, professional licences, safety and proper delivery of their services. Qemuro may perform checks, request documents and suspend non-compliant listings.

Commissions, referrals, Ambassador arrangements, any subscriptions and financial terms are defined in the applicable Partner contract or plan. No real payments may be enabled until the payment-service provider, sales terms, refunds and tax flows are configured and validated.

Reviews, rankings and matches do not guarantee quality or availability; they may consider destination, category, relevance, availability and other disclosed signals. Ranking manipulation, fake reviews and deceptive practices are prohibited.

Platform role

In the current configuration, Qemuro acts as a digital request intermediary, not as the seller or provider of the underlying service. The professional must be clearly identified before any agreement; any future change of role requires updated terms, flows and notices.

Professionals, traceability and complaints

Before making a professional offer visible, Qemuro requests identification and contact data, a declaration of trader status and, where applicable, registration, authorisations, licences and insurance. Measures affecting listings or accounts may be challenged through “Appeal a content/account decision”.

Ranking and placement

Matching mainly considers destination, requested category, relevance, declared attributes and verification status. Price and availability remain subject to confirmation. Paid placement and paid advantages are not active; if introduced, they will be clearly labelled and professional terms will describe the main parameters.

Service Hub: rules for additional services

Beach clubs and day passes, luggage, mobility, chefs and catering, family support, pet care, health, personal care, accessibility, events, tickets, connectivity and guest essentials are presented as request categories. Their presence does not prove operator availability, authorisation or approval.

Low-bureaucracy model: Qemuro collects and routes non-binding requests. It does not collect the service price, confirm the service, issue tickets, diagnose conditions or provide emergency assistance. The identified professional defines the contract, final price, cancellation and performance unless a future notice states otherwise.

Verification before publication: in the new categories, a listing can become public only after active verification of professional identity and, where required, qualification/licence, insurance and validity period. Qemuro verification is a proportionate document check, not a guarantee of outcomes.

Health, mobility, childcare, ticket sales, food service, events and other regulated activities are admitted only through operators entitled to act in the relevant territory. Without the required verification, the system does not expose the relevant offer in the network.

Concierge, automation & Travel Safety

Concierge

In the current version, Concierge uses automated matching and ranking on Marketplace offers. It does not replace a travel agent or a legal, medical or safety professional. If a generative-AI provider is enabled, its use, data sent to the provider and limitations will be documented before activation.

Travel Risk & Rescue

Risk Score, readiness, simulations and alternatives are informational and organisational support tools. They are not official alerts, safety guarantees or emergency services. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services and competent authorities.

Decisions that significantly affect a user should not be made solely from an automated score without adequate context and, where necessary, human review.

Qemuro Live: weather, events, mobility and useful numbers

Optional location

By default, Qemuro Live uses the destination you enter manually. Device location is not read in the background: it may only be requested when you explicitly select the dedicated function and remains subject to browser or operating-system permission. If you deny or withdraw permission, you can continue using Qemuro and enter the destination manually. Coordinates are minimised as far as compatible with the request, used temporarily and not used for advertising, profiling or analytics.

Sources, attribution and coverage

Planned sources include MET Norway Locationforecast for weather forecasts, NASA EONET and U.S. Geological Survey for natural events and earthquakes, and the WMO Severe Weather Information Centre as a link for checking official alerts. Delays, cancellations and traffic are shown only when the relevant operator or local authority provides a usable feed, such as GTFS Realtime or DATEX II. Each card must state its source, covered area and latest update time.

There is no single official, free and complete database for all transport and traffic worldwide. Qemuro therefore does not guarantee global or continuous coverage: where an operator, route or area lacks current data, “Live data unavailable” is shown with a link to the official source when available. The absence of an alert does not mean a service is running normally or that no risk exists.

Source quality, delays and unavailability

Data may be automated, incomplete, delayed, changed or temporarily unavailable. Qemuro distinguishes current, stale and unavailable information and does not turn a source error into a positive indication. Events catalogued by NASA EONET and other automated data do not replace national or local authority alerts. Translations, where present, are provided for assistance; the original text and link remain the reference.

Information limits and emergency numbers

Qemuro Live is an informational and organisational tool: it is not an emergency service, does not issue official alerts and does not guarantee safety, punctuality or operation of transport and infrastructure. Always check with the competent authority or operator before deciding. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services; 112 is the common free number in the European Union. Useful numbers shown for other countries include their source and last verification date and are not called automatically.
